A Muslim student was caught planning a terrorist attack upon Jewish-American residents in Texas.
Sohaib Abuayyash, 20, a Jordanian national came to the US in 2019 on a nonimmigrant student visa. His visa lapsed and he applied for asylum which was granted by the Biden Administration.
When a student visa lapses, you are supposed to be deported. Not under Biden.
Abuayyash was using his time as an asylee to build homemade explosives and plot the murder of Jewish-American Texans in Houston.
Abuayyash is behind bars on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by someone with a non-immigrant visa, and US Magistrate Judge Christina Bryan ruled he should remain detained pending trial because he is committed to "martyrdom in support of a religious cause" and made statements “that he wants to go to Gaza to fight Jews.”
On October 7th, Hamas, the democratically elected ruling party of Gaza, invaded Israel murdering over 1400 Israeli and foreign nationals, including women and children, and kidnapping over 200 others.
Israel has not occupied Gaza since 2005 and joined Egypt in an embargo of Gaza after Palestinians elected Hamas in 2006.
However, Israel has allowed food, water, and electricity to flow into Gaza, while Egypt and other Arabic speaking countries refuse entry to Palestinians.
Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood — the largest terrorist organization in Egypt and an archnemesis of the Egyptian government.
The FBI raided Abuayyash's home, are probing his Internet activities, while interviewing his friends and associates. "He has been in direct contact with others who share a radical mindset, and he has been conducting physical training with weapons to possibly commit an attack”, per the FBI.
Upon learning of Abuayyash’s alleged plan to attack the Houston Jewish community, the FBI moved into arrest him for unlawful possession of firearms to get him off the streets.
Under federal law, nonimmigrant visa holders cannot legally obtain or possess firearms in the United States. He is being held without bail.
